Summary

Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive。 And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits。 Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it。

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit。 But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites。 The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other。

Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms。 And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts。

Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other's arms。

i absolutely live for the character arcs, I love the way it ended, and now I’m desperate for an Azriel book。

Definitely the best book of the saga。 Nesta needed this book and I think a lot of readers needed to so they could comprehend her own being。 How people deal differently with emotions and feelings, we are so used to people rising as phoenix and being champions that we forget the path is not always the same for everyone。Feyre’s coping was totally different of how Nesta was raised solely by her mother’s greedy and twisted ways。 We could see and understand her better than ever before。 I dare to say i Definitely the best book of the saga。 Nesta needed this book and I think a lot of readers needed to so they could comprehend her own being。 How people deal differently with emotions and feelings, we are so used to people rising as phoenix and being champions that we forget the path is not always the same for everyone。Feyre’s coping was totally different of how Nesta was raised solely by her mother’s greedy and twisted ways。 We could see and understand her better than ever before。 I dare to say it is to this day the best character development of this saga by a far far margin。I was always drawn to her on the other books and seeing her get the spotlight on this book was a balm to my heart。 Didn’t hurt either getting Cassian’s POV too, other character we could understand better too。I liked the matured writing development of Sarah too, it was clear how much thought and care she had with this book, how she kept the original trilogy storyline to push this one foward and I am excited to see what lays ahead for the Inner Circle going foward。I recommend this book with my eyes close it was such a masterpiece I am sad it ended but happy I can re read anytime I feel like it。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this book and was sad when it was over。 I thought I was going to like the other books better because Feyre is a more likeable character, but Nesta's character development was really well done。 I was particularly tickled by Nesta's friendship with the House of Wind and was left smiling at the end of each chapter when the house did something nice for her。 The main adventure/plot/bad guys were admittedly a little lacking compared to the previous books, and the ending was weirdly ru I really enjoyed this book and was sad when it was over。 I thought I was going to like the other books better because Feyre is a more likeable character, but Nesta's character development was really well done。 I was particularly tickled by Nesta's friendship with the House of Wind and was left smiling at the end of each chapter when the house did something nice for her。 The main adventure/plot/bad guys were admittedly a little lacking compared to the previous books, and the ending was weirdly rushed, but that was made up for by the excitement of the blood rite, the spicy scenes, Nesta and Castings sub-plots, and Maas tieing small foreshadowing details from the earlier in the book back at the end。 。。。more

The end of Acotar through Nesta's and Cassian's POVIt isn't about how well written it is。Neither about how much smut this book contains。It's about healing, it's about growth, and love and comfort。But also about sex between a certain Illyrian warrior and a _made_ Valkyrie。The book has many issues that in a stand alone novel would probably make me think I would put the book down and read something else。 The investment I had in the series, as a reader, was enough to trust SJM to deliver an ending t The end of Acotar through Nesta's and Cassian's POVIt isn't about how well written it is。Neither about how much smut this book contains。It's about healing, it's about growth, and love and comfort。But also about sex between a certain Illyrian warrior and a _made_ Valkyrie。The book has many issues that in a stand alone novel would probably make me think I would put the book down and read something else。 The investment I had in the series, as a reader, was enough to trust SJM to deliver an ending to ACOTAR that i would enjoy。And at the end of the day, that is what counts, I've read A court of frost and starlight and A court of silver and flames in a week and I rate them both 5/5 because they brought me joy。 "To the stars who listen - and the dreams that are answered" - SJM 。。。more

Am I the only one that's disappointed by the focus solely on Nesta and Cassia? What about Azriel and Elain? Lucien? Tamlin? They're all loose ends that have much more interesting and demanding ends to be tied。It was a good book, but I feel like it was sort of anti-climactic to me, this is not the ending to the series I think it deserves。 Am I missing something, because nobody has mentioned the other characters and surely they deserve better。 Tamlin is not the villain, is Nesta is going to be por Am I the only one that's disappointed by the focus solely on Nesta and Cassia?

Upon reread I still love this book。 I think it's my favorite sjm book。 Nesta and Cassian are my favorite couple and Nesta's journey makes me *feel* things。One thing I will note is that I haven't enjoyed the smut scenes of sjm on rereads as much as the first read through。 They don't feel as spicy the second time around。But everything else about it is fantastic, even after a second read Upon reread I still love this book。 I think it's my favorite sjm book。 Nesta and Cassian are my favorite couple and Nesta's journey makes me *feel* things。One thing I will note is that I haven't enjoyed the smut scenes of sjm on rereads as much as the first read through。 They don't feel as spicy the second time around。But everything else about it is fantastic, even after a second read 。。。more

Temporarily DNF’ing at 52%。 It just wasn’t hooking me like the other books in the series。 I will pick it up again at some point hence why I’m not rating it, but I’m setting it aside for now。 I’ll probably start Crescent City in the meantime because book two just came out。

This book was 10X better than I thought it would be!! Let me be honest: I am not a fan of Nesta。 Even after finishing ACOSF, I wasn’t a fan of Nesta。 However, the plot development, world building, and twists were absolutely phenomenal! I’m so excited for where the story will go next!

I don't know。。。。 I liked that side of her but I guess it's just because I have been used and abused by people like Nesta most of my life that I just can't empathize with her depression。 。。。more

How does one go on after reading this? Not only was the romance absolutely everything, but the story of Nesta finding herself and the home she never had was perfect and everything she deserved。 I honestly think I liked it more than the romance, and that's saying something。 I am so sad that I have to wait for another book, but I already know the wait will be worth it。 How does one go on after reading this? It took me a long time -close to a year- to finish。 I did not like Nesta。 She was not my cup of tea but I was open to know her story and even more excited to read more about the night court。 I am so glad I did。 This book shows her as a multi-layered complex character, which was lacking in the previous books。

I love ACOTAR Series and I did not think anything could beat ACOWAR in my opinion but ACOSF definitely tied with it。 In the first book, I did not like Nesta at all! This is her ultimate redemption for being bitter all those years。 A lot of people say the book itself gets repetitive。 In the beginning there is a lot of tension, training, working in library。 But you see her grow as a fighter。 I AM NESTA。 YOU ARE NESTA。 WE ARE NESTA ARCHERONI want to start by saying this book BLEW MY FREAKING MIND! This book was 300 percent worth it and now I'm impatiently awaiting another ACOTAR novel。 So please read this book cause it is AMAZING!!! 。。。more
